Only in India can a man indicted for corruption become an anti-corruption icon

Breaking: Justice Satwant interviewed on NDTV confirms that Anna Hazare diverted Rs 220,000 for a function to felicitate himself!  Meaning: this man likes all the attention like what he is getting right now that he would stoop to corruption to get it!
In an interview given just now Anna Hazare threatened to go on yet another fast to clear his name in the Justice Satwant Commission Report. Meaning: this man will go on a fast for any reason at the drop of his hat. He is besides setting a dangerous precedent. Now all that a Suresh Kalmadi, Raja or Kanimozhi need to clear their name is to call for a fast unto death!
Modern day Gandhiji is a mask worn only by a con man called Anna Hazare. Read the full report of the  Justice PB Sawant Commission of Inquiry 2005 indicting him for various acts of corruption by his trusts by clicking  this link. The Commission inquired into complaints against Shri Hazare and his NGOs and found as follows:

The Anna Team wants the PM under the ambit of the Lok Pal but not NGOs. Justice Sawant Commission Report tells you why?  Only in India can a man indicted for corruption become an anti-corruption icon.
''We would like to ask Anna Hazare, with what face are you talking about fast against corruption? You are corrupt yourself. We are not saying this. This is what a high court appointed inquiry has said,'' said Congress spokesperson Manish Tiwari at a press conference on Sunday.

"The Sawant Commission has come out with figures of trusts run by him. Justice Sawant report has ripped the moral core of Anna Hazare and his movement. The report has called team Anna criminals and corrupt," Tewari said.

Anna upped the ante saying he would continue to fast till his name was cleared from the Justice Sawant committee report that Congress referred to, to prove his "corruption".
Meanwhile, India Today reports on another member of the Anna Team:
"Shanti Bhushan, who's also the co- chairman of the joint committee, also found a notice sent to him in February by the Uttar Pradesh Stamps and Registration Department doing the rounds. The notice seeks to recover from Bhushan stamp duty adding up to Rs 1.33 crore for a palatial bungalow the lawyer had purchased in the posh Civil Lines locality of Allahabad.

Bhushan had purchased the 7,810 sq. m. bungalow in October last year for a meagre sum of Rs 5 lakh and paid a stamp duty of Rs 45,000. The circle rate in the area, according to a source, is not less than Rs 24,000 per square metre, so Bhushan may have a lot of explaining to do. The power of attorney holder for the bungalow, Sudhir Tandon, son of the original owner, Hari Om Das Tandon, made it clear that the sale agreement lays down that " any liability on account of stamp duty will be borne by the purchaser along with the other legal expenses."
What kind of team is this who arrogate themselves as champions of probity in the country despite not being above suspicion like Caesar's wife? Who appointed them to speak on behalf of all of Indian civic society?
